DAIRY FARMERS PICKET HERE

Picketers representing the Armstrong County chapter of the United Dairy Farmers paraded in front of all five Isaly stores in Butler and Butler Township on Sept. 30, 1965. They were seeking 13 cents of the 28-cents-a-quart retail price of milk. The farmers said they were receiving 8 cents a quart, which they said was their share in 1931 when milk prices were much lower. Pictured, from left, are Franklin Bowser, Ivan Bowser and Homer Toy, all of Kittanning.
