Albert Watrel, Slippery Rock State College president, shows Mrs. N. Kerr Thompson the picture of her late husband that was to be hung in the new stadium named for the longtime Rock coach. The dedication ceremonies were held in October 1974 prior to Slippery Rock's 41-3 homecoming victory over Waynesburg. Thompson coached Slippery Rock teams from 1920 to 1945. Slippery Rock's 2010 homecoming is today (Saturday) against Lock Haven.
