Chalmer F. Maley
Chalmer F. Maley, 80, of Inverness, Fla., died Saturday at the Hospice of Citrus County Care Unit at Citrus Memorial Hospital.
Born March 30, 1928, in Donegal Township, he was the son of Daniel and Mary Maley.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Maley moved to Inverness from Donegal Township in 1984.
He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness, the cement finishers union in Pennsylvania and the VFW Post 7876 in Chicora.
Chalmer enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting and boating.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Bernice J. Maley; five children, R. Daniel Maley (Sandra) and James M. Maley (Jennifer), both of Chicora, David C. Maley (Karen) of Butler, Patricia J. Pry (Russ) of Harvest, Ala., and Judy A. Lohmueller (Rufus) of Ogden, Utah; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
<B>MALEY </B>— Friends of Chalmer F. Maley, who died Saturday, April 19, 2008, will be received from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the <B>Heinz Funeral Home</B>, 2507 Highway 44 West, Inverness, Fla., where the funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. The Rev. James Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery with military honors provided by the Inverness VFW Post 4337.In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Hospice of Citrus County or the charity of your choice.
