Julia Matus
Julia Matus, 91, of Harmar Township, died Friday in Saxony Health Care in Saxonburg.
Born Feb. 5, 1917, in Adamsburg, she was the daughter of Joseph and Josephine Menart Yelochan.
She was a lifelong resident.
She was a former member of Springdale United Methodist Church and a member of the Lower Valley Senior Citizens, 203 SNPJ of Harmar, and the AFU Fraternal Union.
She enjoyed homemaking, especially baking, and her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Charles (Kay) Matus III of Cabot and Daniel (Kathy) Matus of Cheswick; four grandchildren, Kenneth Charles (Debbie) Matus, Matthew (Gensina) Matus, Danielle and Keri Matus; four great-grandchildren, Kristopher, Jennifer, Jimmy and Nicholas Matus; three sisters, Mary Bracco of Creighton, Frances Bracco of Creighton, and Emma (Bob) Borland of Cheswick; and by a brother, Albert (Marge) Yelochan of Cheswick.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Matus Jr., and a brother, Joseph Yelochan.
<B>MATUS</B>— Friends of Julia Matus, who died Friday, April 25, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Charles B. Jarvie Funeral Home</B>, 801 Pittsburgh St., Springdale.Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Chris Marshall of New Life Christian Ministries officiating.
