Raymond W. Willison, 93, formerly of Oneida and of Vernon, N.Y., died Friday morning at the Martin Luther Home, Clinton, N.Y., where he lived since August 2005.

Born in East Brady, Dec. 12, 1914, he was the son of Preston L. and Anna V. Hoover Willison.

He lived in the Oneida area for more than 31 years after moving from Butler. Ray was a 1933 graduate of Butler High School and a graduate of the Utilities Engineering Institute in Chicago.

He married Yolanda Napoletan at the St. Peter Church, Butler, May 16, 1938.

Prior to his retirement with 41-years of service, Mr. Willison was a millwright and spell foreman with Armco.

He was a communicant of the Church of the Holy Family; a member of the Knights of Columbus, E. Bart Hanifin Council 473, where he was the recipient of the Eugene Arnold Service Award in 1991; a Fourth Degree Knight of the Rev. Edmund McDowell Assembly; a member of the American Association of Retired Persons, Oneida Chapter 3328; and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Oneida Lodge 421.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Howard Tooke of Vernon, N.Y.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond W. and Corrine Willison of Santa Fe, N.M., and Gary W. and Sharon Willison of Rochester, N.Y.; two sisters, Annabelle Shaw of Butler and Dorothy Willison of Detroit, Mich.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
