IT'S A START
One of the first contributions to the $1.5 million YMCA building fund campaign in 1964 was this check for $39 presented to John McCaslin, YMCA general secretary, by, from left, Charles Maffei, Jenny Wilson and Carl Hoffman, all representing Bon Aire School. The contribution was from proceeds of the school’s “The Greatest Little Show on Earth,” which was presented that May by students in grades 4 through 6.
