Gwendolyn "Gwen" Craig Hohman, 85, of East Main Street in Grove City, formerly of Marion Township, died Sunday morning at Advent House Hospice of Fairport, N.Y., where she was a resident for the past three weeks.

Born in Greensburg, Oct. 10, 1922, she was the daughter of the Rev. Dr. Paul F. and Olive I. Forman Smalley.

She was a graduate of the Harrisville High School and the American Technical Society of Practical Business.

Mrs. Hohman had been the head cook at the Grove City College and retired after 25 years. She previously worked at the Grove City Medical Center.

Mrs. Hohman was a member of the West Unity Community Church in Marion Township since 1930. At the church, she taught Sunday school, was the Bible school director and belonged to the choir and the Ladies Missionary Society.

She was a quilt maker and opened her home to many visitors.

Surviving are two sons, David W. Craig and his wife, Carol, of Corry and the Rev. Bruce A. Craig and his wife, Cynthia, of Macedon, N.Y.; a stepson, Guy Russell Hohman of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, Pam Martin, Matthew Craig, Sarah Katerle and Nathan Craig.; and 15 great-grandchildren. A brother, Paul Franklin Smalley II of Slippery Rock, also survives.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Craig, who died Jan. 7, 1988; her second husband, Albert Hohman, who died March 16, 1991; a granddaughter; a great-grandson; a daughter-in-law, Brenda J. Craig; two sisters; and a brother.

<B>HOHMAN </B>— Friends of Gwendolyn "Gwen" Craig Hohman, who died Sunday, May 25, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Jamison Funeral Home</B>, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the West Unity Community Church. The Rev. Boyd Smith, church pastor and her son, the Rev. Bruce Craig, will officiate.
