Freehling

Ruth L. Freehling, 92, of Cabot died Tuesday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born Feb. 12, 1916, in Vandergrift, she was the daughter of Cecil and Gertie Stauffer-Cook McConnell.

She served in the Navy during World War II. Ruth was a registered x-ray technician in the Navy and at City General Hospital in Akron, Ohio. She retired in 1948.

Mrs. Freehling was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church in Sarver and the Saxonburg American Legion Post 683.

Surviving are a son, Michael D. Freehling of Gaffney, S.C.; and two grandsons, Joseph Michael and Timothy Michael Freehling.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Kenneth D. Freehling.

<B>FREEHLING</B> — Friends of Ruth L. Freehling, who died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Zion United Methodist Church with the Rev. Howard Greenfield officiating.
