Ruth L. Freehling, 92, of Cabot died Tuesday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born Feb. 12, 1916, in Vandergrift, she was the daughter of Cecil and Gertie Stauffer-Cook McConnell.

She served in the Navy during World War II. Ruth was a registered x-ray technician in the Navy and at City General Hospital in Akron, Ohio. She retired in 1948.

Mrs. Freehling was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church in Sarver and the Saxonburg American Legion Post 683.

Surviving are a son, Michael D. Freehling of Gaffney, S.C.; and two grandsons, Joseph Michael and Timothy Michael Freehling.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Kenneth D. Freehling.

<B>FREEHLING</B> — Friends of Ruth L. Freehling, who died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Zion United Methodist Church with the Rev. Howard Greenfield officiating. Burial will follow at the Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the Zion United Methodist Church Sunday School, 438 Bear Creek Road Sarver, PA 16055.Information also is available at www.foxfuneralhomeinc.com.
