Martha T. Pelles, 84, of Richland Township died Tuesday at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born Jan. 11, 1924, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Robert and Ann Fulmer Tunell.

She was the beloved wife of the late Stephen Pelles. She was also preceded in death by one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Martha was the secretary and "Caring Mom" of Washington Elementary School on Meridian Road in Richland for 25 years, and a member of the Richland American Legion Post 548 Auxiliary and the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She was the loving mother of Stephanie Dittman of Richland and Robert Pelles of Mars, and sister of John Tunell of Florida. She also is survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pelles, who died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Ltd.</B>, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3832 Gibsonia Road, Richland. Pastor Joel A. Benson will officiate. Private interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.Her family suggests contributions be made to the Lighthouse Foundation, P.O.
