WILD WEEK
Peter DeMatteis, Ken Weitzel and Wilbur Christie look over a poster for National Wildlife Week in March of 1973. DeMatteis was the Butler County Wildlife Week chairman, Weitzel was a delegate to the state Federation of Sportsman’s Clubs, and Christie was president of the Butler Sportsman’s Conservation Council. The baby wood duck on the poster was about to discover the world of wildlife, symbolizing the theme of the week.
