Contest Day winners in the Ladies Rolling Pin Contest at the 32nd annual Butler Farm Show in August of 1980 included, from left, J.C. Peters of Slippery Rock, in age group 26-35; Delores Long of Renfrew, 36-45; Mildred Weidenh of South Duffy Road, 46-55; and Lisa Hulihan of Slippery Rock, 16-25. These women became the champs of their age group by throwing rolling pins underhand for the greatest distance. A “toss-off” between first place winners in each category was arranged, with Lisa Hulihan winning champion honors for a throw of 80’4”.
