TORNADO UPSETS INDIANS
Coaches and players from the Butler Golden Tornado football team pour onto the field Sept. 23, 1983, at the BHS stadium after Butler had upset the top-ranked North Hills Indians in a classic struggle, 19-17. A capacity crowd of 7,000 filled the stadium to see Butler outplay the Indians, who had been touted by some pollsters as the best team in the state. Both teams had 3-0 records going into the contest.
