Peter Charles Stewart
Peter "Petey" Charles Stewart, 55, of Butler died Saturday evening at his home.
Born Oct. 16, 1952, in Butler, he was the son of the late Charles James and Helen Claire Green Stewart.
Pete began his employment with the Butler City Fire Department in 1976. Since then, he worked his way through the ranks to become a captain in 2003. He also was a professional painter in the Butler area for 30 years.
He was a member of the St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church.
Pete was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Butler, the Summit Township Sportsman's Club and the International Association of Firefighters.
He was an avid bow hunter and fisherman. He liked traveling and playing cards. He loved and enjoyed being with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Pete is survived by his wife, Peggy L. Stewart, who he married June 17, 1972; one son, Jeffrey C. Stewart and his wife, Kelly, of Butler; one daughter, Jennifer M. Senopole and her husband, James, of Butler; four grandchildren, Cassie and Mason Senopole and Brady and Carson Stewart; two brothers, Joseph Stewart and his wife, Becky, of Temple, Texas, and Dennis Stewart and his wife, Belinda, of Butler; two sisters, Diane Faber and her husband, George, and Sandy Dimit and her husband, Scott, both of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
<B>STEWART</B> — Friends of Peter "Petey" Charles Stewart, who died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, will be received from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. James Salberg of the St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, officiating.
