A house fire on Saturday, Aug. 22, in the 200 block of Connoquenessing Main Street caused minimal damage after firefighters responded quickly to put out the flames/

Multiple fire departments in Butler County responded to the house fire in Connoquenessing borough, which was first reported shortly after 4 p.m.

Crews led by the Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Company had the fire under control within an hour.

“A quick response by the first-alarm companies kept this fire from growing much larger,” read a social media post by the Callery Volunteer Fire Company, which assisted in the response.

A second alarm was called to bring more departments to assist.

Volunteer fire departments from Butler Township, Prospect, Evans City, Harmony, and the Butler VA were among those that responded.
