Mary Hazel Salisbury

Mary Hazel Salisbury, 94, of Westbrook Drive died at 1:55 a.m. Friday in the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.

Mrs. Salisbury was born Dec, 30, 1914, in Vandergrift, Westmoreland County. She was the daughter of the late James Edward Young and the late Vernie Malissa Wagner Young.

Mrs. Salisbury was a former member of the Polk Run Presbyterian Church, the Vandergrift Presbyterian Church and the First Presbyterian Church of Butler, now Covenant Presbyterian Church.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Salisbury is survived by one son, Dr. Joseph L. Salisbury of Butler; one sister; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Salisbury was preceded in death by her husband, John Salisbury, on March 15, 1984; three sisters; one brother; one half-sister; and one half-brother.

<B>SALISBURY </B>— Friends of Mary Hazel Salisbury, who died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Swanson, pastor of the Covenant Presbyterian Church, officiating.
