Angelo D. Polignano, 96, of Cranberry Township died Friday at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.

Born Nov. 24, 1912, in McKees Rocks, he was the son of the late Salvatore "Sam" and Mary Ciamacco Polignano.

Mr. Polignano married Rosanna Milbert on June 30, 1951, and she preceded him in death Oct. 26, 1999.

Mr. Polignano retired from P&LE Railroad after 30 years.

He was a devoted member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, Cranberry Township, where he was the longest serving usher in the parish.

He was able to live independently until his death and touched many people with his kindness and sense of humor. The music he played on his harmonica will play in our hearts forever.

He is survived by three nieces, Marie Day Vukelich of Carrick, Gloria Day Bellof McKees Rocks and Charlene Day of Pittsburgh. Also, he is survived by great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

<B>POLIGNANO</B> — Friends of Angelo D. Polignano, who died Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at <B>Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Services</B>, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township.
