Martha W. Henderson
Martha Winafred "Winnie" Henderson, 79, of Daytona Beach, Fla., formerly of Butler County, passed away Wednesday.
She was born, July 8, 1929, in Elderton, a daughter of the late Frank and Vera (McKee) Smith.
Besides being a homemaker, she worked several years in the cafeteria at Washington Elementary School.
In 1986, she moved to Florida and worked as a hostess for Duff's Smorgasbord and as a nanny for her youngest grandchild. In addition, she was an accomplished seamstress.
She enjoyed volunteering for Meal on Wheels and Halifax Hospital.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Derrick (Patty) Henderson of Cherry Valley, and Beverly (Carl) Muscatello and Barbara Henderson, both of Ormond Beach, Fla.; a brother, Byron Smith of Bethel Park; her sisters, Delnora Hainley of Louisville, Ky., and Donna Taylor of Clarion; and three grandchildren, Jennifer Beachem of Slippery Rock, Darrin Henderson of Pittsburgh, and Nicholas Muscatello of Ormond Beach, Fla.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
<B>HENDERSON </B>— Memorial services for Martha Winafred "Winnie" Henderson, who died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Volusia Memorial Funeral Home</B>, 450 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach, Fla.Donations may be made in her memory to the Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 4800 Woodbriar Road, Port Orange, FL 32129.
