Helen Giesler, 94, of Autumn Grove Care Center in Harrisville, formerly of West Brady Street, Butler, died at 4:07 a.m. Friday in the emergency room of the Grove City Medical Center.

Born June 15, 1914, in Jefferson Township, she was the daughter of the late Paul M. Walker and the late Mary Etta Dickson Walker.

Mrs. Giesler was a retired secretary for the Butler County Credit Union in Butler and the Spreng Machine Co. in Saxonburg. She was a former member of the Community Alliance Church and also attended the Wayside Community Church in Grove City. She also enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and also enjoyed listening to country music.

Mrs. Giesler is survived by two sons, William J. Giesler Jr. and his wife, Marjorie, of Harrisville, and Robert E. Giesler and his wife, Janice, of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ruby Ferrere of West Sunbury; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Giesler was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Giesler, who died July, 19, 1977, and by a brother, Paul Walker.

<B>GIESLER — </B>Friends of Helen Giesler, who died Friday, March 20, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the<B> THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. G. Kenton Shaw of Wayside Community Church of Grove City officiating. Burial will be in the Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 10 Duff Road, Suite 304, Pittsburgh, PA 15235-3207 or the American Cancer Society, Memorials, 320 Bilman Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
