Barbara Joan Mahood Brock, 75, of Evans City passed away Sunday evening in the Evergreen Nursing Center, Harmony.

Born in Butler, Dec. 15, 1933, she was the daughter of Walter and Margaret Hackett Mahood.

Mrs. Brock was a registered nurse having worked for Quality Assurance, Ellwood City, as the director. She was a member of the Butler County Memorial Hospital Nurses Alumni Association.

Mrs. Brock was a member of Westminister United Presbyterian Church in Evans City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Brock Jr., who passed away Dec. 27, 1997; and by her five brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are four daughters, Barbara G. Brock of Richmond, Va., Joy Brock of Los Angeles, Kay (Thomas) Debski of Deep River, Conn., and Sally (Thomas) Kiefer of Callery; two sons, David J. (Kimberly) Brock of Spring, Texas, and Stephen (Lorraine) Brock of Renfrew; and nine grandchildren, Corey and Peter Martin and Katie and Gabriel Brock of Texas, Brittany, Megan and Amber Brock of Renfrew and Jacob and Alexander Kiefer of Callery.

<B>BROCK</B> Friends and relatives of Barbara Joan Brock who died Sunday, April 19, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the <B>A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home</B>, 328 W. Main St., Evans City. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday from the funeral home with the Rev. John Park, her pastor, officiating.
