Emma B. Goas
Emma B. Goas, 84, of West Sunbury passed away at 4:35 a.m. Monday at Grove Manor.
She was born May 6, 1924, in Coaltown, the daughter of the late Xavier Hugh Gardner and Bertha M. Stevenson Gardner.
She was a member of West Sunbury Presbyterian Church. She was an Avon representative for 50 years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and camping.
She is survived by two sons, Walter L. "Butch" Goas III of Butler and Daryle Goas of West Sunbury; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Wilhelminia Miller of Coaltown; and two brothers, William X. Gardner of Butler and Clair Gardner of Grove City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lenvy Goas Jr.; one daughter; one grandson; one sister; and one brother.
<B>GOAS</B> - Friends of Emma B. Goas, who died Monday, April 20, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert V. Mathias of Concord Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
