Marianne G. (Schatzel) Ernst, 69, of Jackson Township died Friday.

Marianne was a member of the St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church for 45 years.

She was the beloved wife for 49 years to Raymond F. Ernst; loving mother of Elaine G. Davis (Paul) of Fowler, Ohio, Raymond J. Ernst (Mary Ann) of Economy, Jennifer M. Ross (Chris) of Lower Burrell and the late Joyce Marie and a baby boy. She was the proud grandmother of Michael, Raymond, Matthew, Jonathan, Julia and Alex; sister of Donald Schatzel, Valerie Seaborn, John Schatzel and the late Jim Schatzel; and sister-in-law of the late Eileen Schmidt. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

(Schatzel) Ernst, who died Friday, April 24, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday at the <B>DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY</B>, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township, 724-772-8800. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Ferdinand Church.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
