Richard L. Kradel Sr., 76, of Tionesta, formerly of Butler, died Wednesday at the home of his son in Tionesta.

He was born Jan. 2, 1933, in Butler, son of the late Walter A. and Nellie Naomi (Lardin) Kradel.

On June 30, 1958, in Butler, he married Phyllis E. (Bowser) Kradel, who died July 11, 1984.

He was a member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Tionesta.

He was a retired truck driver for Armco Steel of Butler.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He enjoyed fishing and was an avid hunter.

Surviving are three sons, Richard L. Kradel Jr. and his wife, Christine, of Tionesta, Randall C. Kradel of Saxonburg and Michael L. Kradel of Butler; three sisters, Aggie Schmader of Butler, Wanda Reimer and her husband, Robert, also of Butler, and Myrtle Bauchman and her husband, William, of Conneaut Lake; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by three grandchildren and several brothers and sisters.

<B>KRADEL</B> — There will be no public visitation, and all services held for Richard L. Kradel Sr., who died Wednesday, April 29, 2009, are private. Burial will be at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.Arrangements are under the direction of <B>Norman J.
