Thomas R. Davis
Thomas R. Davis, 60, of Seventh Avenue died Sunday at Oakland Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Born Oct. 31, 1948, in Oil City, he was the son of the late John R. Davis and the late V. Jean Davis.
Mr. Davis was a member of VFW Post 249 and American Legion Post 778.
He enjoyed golf, skiing and sports cars.
He was in the U.S. Army where he served in the Vietnam War.
Mr. Davis is survived by four sons, Thomas Dillon, Lee Dillon, Chris Davis and Corey Davis; one daughter, Wendy Meals; nine grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; one niece; two nephews; and one brother, James Davis.
<B>DAVIS </B>— A memorial service for Thomas R. Davis, who died Sunday, June 7, 2009, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., with the Rev. Dr. David West of GraceWay Community Church officiating. Interment will be in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.Military honors will be provided at the funeral home by the VFW Post 249 and the American Legion Post 778.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to VFW Post 249, 429 W.
