Cass/oil
Cass, make a New Year's Resolution: "Write facts, not fiction".
The USA is the world's largest oil importer. Last year the USA's largest export was fuel: gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel, not oil.
Thousands of jobs depend on the
oil industry to refine, and transport these various fuels for our use and apparently our trading partners' use.
Since our trade deficit is enormous as it is, eliminating these fuels as export products would only widen that gap.
However, I would personally like to see some of that fuel remain in the US in order to bring down the cost of gasoline here.
