CONNOQUENESSING TWP — State Rep. Brian Ellis, R-11th, will host his ninth annual Community Night from 4 to 8 p.m. Aug 14 at the Butler Farm Show grounds.

Vendors from organizations and government agencies will attend to provide residents with information on services and programs.

It will include a hot dog eating contest, train rides, an inflatable bounce castle, a Home Depot children’s project and fire truck tours.

“This is a great way to meet with folks of all ages and talk with them about what issues mean the most to them in a family-friendly atmosphere,” said Ellis.

There is no cost to attend, but residents are asked to take a nonperishable food item or paper good to donate to a food pantry.
