Hilda E. Mossrush, a longtime resident of Butler, died June 9, 2009, in Redlands, Calif.

She was born in New York, N.Y., Jan. 20, 1914, and came to Butler as the bride of Park C. Mossrush in 1953.

Mrs. Mossrush worked for more than 20 years as an interviewer in the Butler office of the Pennsylvania State Employment Agency before relocating to California in 1982.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her brother, Richard Thomas; and her parents, Joseph and Mary McCarthy Thomas.

She is survived by her niece, Elizabeth Najar of New Castle; her nephew, John Moore of Bethesda, Md.; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
