PETROLIA — The Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home will celebrate completion of its three-month renovation with a weeklong open house.

Improvements to the funeral home include a larger and open viewing room, a new bathroom, new family room that can be used as a second viewing room, an updated foyer, new doors, stained-glass windows and new furnishings.

The open house begins April 21 when tours will be available from noon to 4 p.m.

From April 22 to April 26, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., the funeral home will be open for tours, and on April 23 guests can sit for a free family portrait between 4 and 8 p.m. On April 24, the Chicora Medical Center will offer free blood pressure screenings at the funeral home.
