Fenelton man accused of stealing from recovery program
A Fenelton man is accused of stealing about $360 worth of items from a Clearfield Township recovery program.
State police charged Shane Lynn Scott, 51, Tuesday, Aug. 11, with one felony count each of burglary, trespassing and criminal mischief and misdemeanor disorderly conduct following an incident Sunday.
Police said Scott entered Hope Center Ministries through a side door in the garage and removed three small safes valued at $200 and four gift cards valued at $160 from a desk in the church.
Scott later returned one of the safes by taking it back to the church and placing it on the back of one of the vehicles there. Police allege Scott also stole from another person in the recovery program.
Scott’s preliminary hearing has yet to be scheduled.
