Police reports as of Aug. 7

The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:

Butler

July 31 — Steven Eric Barnes, 39, of Butler, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of theft, marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession following a July 2 incident. Police said Barnes stole already purchased groceries from a woman and had marijuana and a glass smoking pipe.

Butler Twp

July 28 — Brian Scott Schreckengost, 52, of Rimersburg, was charged with misdemeanor DUI following a July 2 crash. Police said Schreckengost tested positive for buprenorphine, a medication used to treat opioid use disorder.

July 28 — Anthony James Sandoval, 24, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor accident involving damage following a June 23 crash. Police said Sandoval crashed into a vehicle and left the scene.

July 28 — Scott Patrick Gelles, 41, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor theft following a July 17 incident. Police said Gelles completed a fraudulent refund of $349.

July 30 — Richard Allan Stepp, 46, of Evans City, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of controlled substance possession and drug paraphernalia possession following a July 29 incident. Police said Stepp had 60 Clonazepam pills, suspected mushrooms, 14 Suboxone strips and a glass smoking device.

Cranberry Twp

July 31 — Jeremy Lee Caskey, 44, of Pittsburgh, was charged with felony retail theft and misdemeanor receiving stolen property following an April 27 incident. Police said Caskey stole $340.98 in merchandise from Walmart.

July 31 — Twana Louise Strait, 54, of Valencia, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of retail theft and receiving stolen property following a July 28 incident. Police said Strait stole $417.49 in merchandise from The Home Depot.

July 31 — Catherine Marie Locastro was charged with misdemeanor false identification to law enforcement following a July 15 incident. Police said Locastro gave police a false name.

Slippery Rock

July 29 — Matthew John McFadden, 30, of Slippery Rock, was charged with misdemeanor trespassing following a July 29 incident. Police said McFadden was at a business where he was told not to return.

State police, Butler

July 27 — Tokin L. Roy, 47, of Butler, was charged with seven misdemeanor DUI counts following a June 29 traffic stop in Butler. Police said Roy tested positive for THC, amphetamine and methadone.

July 27 — Robert Carlton Lary, 56, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor trespassing following a July 25 incident in Butler. Police said Lary was on a property after business hours.

July 27 — Kathryn Elisabeth Bryan, 24, of Hilliards, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault following a July 25 incident in Washington Township. Police said Bryan struck a man in the eye.

July 30 — Christopher M. Anderson, 36, of Butler, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of DUI, loitering, false identification to law enforcement and drug paraphernalia possession following a July 29 incident in Butler Township. Police said Anderson was at a business after hours, provided a false name, showed signs of impairment and had a marijuana grinder.

State police, Mercer

July 29 — Ralph R. Scott, 52, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a June 15 traffic stop in Butler. Police said Scott tested positive for a metabolite of cocaine.
