Charles J. Parker
Charles J. Parker, 88, of Butler; Ben Avon, Pa.; Dewittville, N.Y.; and Bradenton, Fla., died Saturday.
Charlie was a lifelong Presbyterian, but currently was a member of the Bayshore Gardens Community Church, Reformed Church in America, Bradenton.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles H. Parker Jr. and Jean Aiken Parker, and his sister, Jean, all of Butler.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Vanita Wend Parker; daughters, Judith Wolf and Kathryn; a son, Charles Henry III; three granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
He was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, and he worked as a metallurgical engineer for U.S. Steel in Waukegan, Ill.; Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
Charles was a Navy veteran of World War II and a lifelong Mason.
