Timothy B. Hoffman, 45, of Renfrew died at 7 a.m. Wednesday after a valiant yearlong battle with cancer.

He was born Dec. 31, 1963, in Butler, the son of Benjamin L. Hoffman and Rita M. (Altman) Hoffman of Renfrew.

He attended St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

He was a member of the Armco bowling league and the Guys and Gals League.

Tim enjoyed hunting, archery and racing.

He worked at AK Steel.

Surviving are his wife, Kelli (Tirk) Hoffman, who he married Sept. 24, 1998; his parents of Renfrew; three daughters, Abbie Hoffman of Zelienople and Stephanie and Courtney Hoffman, both at home; a son, Benjamin Hoffman of Herman; and two sisters, Lori Cygan of Butler and Patty Doty of Renfrew.

<B>HOFFMAN </B>— Friends of Timothy B. Hoffman, who died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Alden Towberman officiating. Interment will be in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.Contributions may be made to the Cancer Treatment Center of America, 1331 E.
