David E. Christy, 46, of Bruin passed away unexpectedly Tuesday at his home.

He was born June 22, 1963, in Butler, the son of Bonnie (Ekis) Christy of Hooker and the late Raymond E. Christy.

David was a member of the Martinsburg Church of Bruin and the Argyle Lodge 540 in Chicora.

He enjoyed riding his Harley and was an avid hunter.

In addition to his mother, he also is survived by his wife, Judy Christy of Bruin; two sons, David "D.J." Christy and Nathaniel P. Christy, both of Butler; a granddaughter, Elliott Isacco; four stepchildren; three step-grandchildren; and a brother, Michael Christy of Hooker.

He was preceded in death by his father.

<B>CHRISTY</B> — Friends of David E. Christy, who died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and from 6 until the time of the funeral service at 8 p.m. Friday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W.
