Knapp

Eric Knapp, 49, of Gibsonia, formerly of Colonia, N.J., went to be with the Lord on Monday after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born July 28, 1960, in New York to Janet Weyrauch Knapp and the late Harry E. Knapp Sr.

He was a loving father to Brittany Knapp, Eric G. Knapp Jr. and Christian Knapp; and a dear brother to Harry E. (Joanne) Knapp Jr. of California, Janet Koch of New Jersey, Curt (Susan) Knapp of Texas, and Barbara Green of North Carolina.

A 1982 graduate of Rutgers University, Eric achieved professional success first in the mortgage industry and then as a home builder.

It was his passion for golf that brought him to Gibsonia and the Sandy Hills Golf Course 10 years ago. Through his vision and hard work, Eric transformed what was once described as "a pasture with nine holes in it" into a challenging, first-rate 18-hole golf course now known as Pheasant Ridge Golf Club.

<B>KNAPP</B> — The Knapp family will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the<B> Schellhaas Funeral Home, </B>5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.
