Meehan

Thelma A. Meehan, 67, who lived in O'Hara Township for more than 30 years, died Tuesday at UPMC Shadyside hospital.

Born Aug. 24, 1942, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Dorothy Kohlhepp Donoghue and the late John Donoghue.

She was a supervisor for food service at Presbyterian Hospital. Along with her brother, John, and her husband, Patrick "Frank," she was a longtime owner of Arby's restaurants in the Butler and Grove City areas.

Mrs. Meehan was a member of the St. Edward Church, Blawnox, and the Butler Country Club.

Thelma was an avid golfer with an infectious smile who was very generous to charities and had a passion for people and life.

Surviving are her husband, Patrick "Frank" Meehan of O'Hara Township; her mother Dorothy Donoghue of McCandless Township; her siblings, Carol (Ronald) Fuchs of Point Breeze, John (Debbie) Donoghue of McCandless Township, Robert (Marilyn) Donoghue of Verona and Kathy (Jeff) Petty of Philadelphia; and nieces and nephews.

<B>MEEHAN</B> — Friends of Thelma A. Meehan, who died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>THOMAS M. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY</B>, 930 Center Ave., Blawnox, where prayers will be recited at 9:45 a.m. Saturday. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the St. Edward Church.In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions to the St. Edward Church Maintenance Fund, 450 Walnut St., Blawnox, PA 15238.
