Mabel B. Thompson, 99, of Gahanna, Ohio, formerly of Butler, passed away Thursday.

Mabel was born July 24, 1910, in Hickman, Pa., to Samuel and Josephine Baxter, who preceded her in death. Mabel also was preceded in death by her husband, Olin Harvey Thompson, and sisters Margaret, Alice, Edna, Lucille and Josephine.

Mabel was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Butler. She was a very caring mother and a hard worker at anything she put her mind to. She enjoyed sewing, needlework and working in her garden.

Mabel is survived by her children, Walter (Cassaundra) Thompson and Lennah Thompson; grandchildren, Paul, Dale, Michael and Beth; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy Mondine.
