Mars students will perform in Pittsburgh band battle
The Shuttlecocks, a group of four Mars High School students, will compete April 20 in the Battle of the Bands at Saddle Ridge in Pittsburgh.
The group is composed of Peter Leslie, vocalist and guitarist; Mike Sybert, guitarist; Jack Leslie, bassist; and Zach Jamison, drummer.
The teens perform pop punk music.
The show begins at 4 p.m. at Saddle Ridge, 1 E. Station Square Drive. Tickets cost $8 in advance; at the door, tickets will be $10 for adults and $13 for those younger than 21. For advance tickets call 724-506-0616, 724-766-1954 or 724-713-7013. The show is presented by Gorilla Productions.
The band is also scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. Monday with the Ded Bugs at Bernie's Distillery in Columbus, Ohio; and at 7 p.m. April 30 with Guts and Johnny and the Razorblades at The Subculture in Glassport.
