Robert "Bob" Donald Black, 83, of Ocoee, Fla., passed away Nov. 7, 2009.

Born in Butler, he was the devoted father of Nancy Baumgartner of Ocoee, Fla., and Bruce and Doug Black of Houston, Texas; grandfather of Lisa Benkendorfer and her husband, Brian, of Birmingham Ala., and Spencer Black of Houston, Texas.

He also is survived by his brother, Dick Black of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Robert, a veteran of the U.S. Army, graduated from Grove City, where he met his wife, Shirley Ann Booth. They were married in 1950 in Youngstown, Ohio.

Robert devoted his 33-year career in Pittsburgh and Cincinnati to the furniture industry, working for Broyhill from 1952 to 1985.

Robert was active with the Masons, and he loved his sports, vacations at Rehoboth Beach, Del., and long walks on the beach.

Robert will be missed by many and will lay to rest with the Lord beside Shirley in Cincinnati, Ohio.
