Stillwagon

H. Wayne Stillwagon, 59, a resident of 932 Enterprise Road, Grove City, Pine Township, Mercer County, since 1977, died suddenly at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township.

Born in Grove City, Sept. 6, 1950, he was the son of Harold W. Stillwagon and Margaret Whitehouse Stillwagon.

He married Ann Simpson on April 24, 1976.

He was employed at Nelson's of Harrisville, where he was a welder. He formerly was a truck driver for Nelson Trucking. Formerly, he was a self-employed trucker and was a welder for the former Adobe Mining Co.

Mr. Stillwagon was a Methodist.

He was a graduate of Slippery Rock High School, Class of 1968.

He was in the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Vietnam from 1968 to 1971. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 519 of Grove City and the American Legion Post 852 of Harrisville.

He was a founder and an active member of the American Legion Riders of Harrisville, and he was a supporter of the Patriot Riders. He was an avid Harley motorcycle rider and hunter.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Ann, at home; two sons, William A. Stillwagon and his wife, Amanda, of Lincolnton, N.C., and Philip W. Stillwagon and his wife, Lindsay, of Grove City; his mother, Margaret Stillwagon of Harrisville; two grandchildren, Ella and Remi Stillwagon; a sister, Barbara J. McKean of Harrisville; and a brother, David A. Stillwagon of Harrisville.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Donald L. Stillwagon.

Wayne Stillwagon, who died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Cunningham Funeral Home</B>, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the USO.
