Curtis Albert Rea, 54, of Natrona Heights passed away unexpectedly Saturday at his home.

He was born Dec. 18, 1955, in Natrona Heights, the son of the late Alton A. and Mary A. Bavetz Rea.

Curt was a 1974 graduate of Highlands High School in Natrona Heights and was employed at Bay Valley Foods in Pittsburgh as a maintenance electrician for the past 19 years.

He was a Navy veteran, a proud member of the NRA, belonged to the Bull Creek Rod & Gun Club, and he was a longtime member of the Pollack Lodge 0502 in Tarentum.

Curt enjoyed Steelers football, hunting with his son and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jane Weleski Rea; a daughter, Mary Beth Rea of Butler; a son, Steven Rea at home; two sisters, Rosanne (Rich) Vogel of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Judy (Mike) Tatusko of Natrona Heights; a brother Larry (Bev) Rea of Brackenridge; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful dog, Luke.

<B>REA</B> — Friends of Curtis Albert Rea, who died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the <B>Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home</B>, 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688. Officiating will be the Rev. R. Cameron Malcolm IV.
