Thomas F. Hilliard, 76, of Butler died at 11:55 a.m. Thursday at his home.

Born May 5, 1933, in Prospect, he was the son of Paul G. and Sarah E. Timblin Hilliard.

Previously, he worked at Castle Rubber. Then, he worked at Pullman Standard until it closed in 1983. He worked for Aero Mayflower Moving Agency, retiring in 1991.

He was a Protestant.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War.

He is survived by a daughter, Tammy and her husband, Brian, Lindsay of Butler; three sons, Carl R. Hilliard of Prospect, Frank Hilliard of Butler and Frederick Hilliard of Butler; nine grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Musick) Hilliard, who died Aug. 31, 1996; a daughter; two sisters; and five brothers.
