Ruth A. Goerss, 87, of Cabot died Saturday at the Alle-Kiski Medical Center.

Born Aug. 27, 1922, in LaSalle, N.Y., she was the daughter of Daniel Frederick Goerss and Esther Elanor Leverentz.

She was an accounts receivable manager for the Pennsylvania Railroad, the Penn Central Railroad and Conrail.

She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot.

Surviving are her sisters, Naomi Bergman of Lacey, Wash., and Eunice Strickler of Seattle.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Jonathan Goerss; and two sisters, Miriam King and Betty Fisher.

<B>GOERSS</B> — There will be no visitation or services for Ruth A. Goerss, who died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009.
