Walter

Leonard J. Walter, 76, of Butler passed away Thursday at his home.

He was born May 6, 1933, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Henry Walter and Anna (Juran) Walter.

Leonard was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War. He was a volunteer at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Butler for many years. He enjoyed volunteering, fly-fishing, boating and dancing.

Surviving are a daughter, Tracey and Joe Clark of Rector, Pa.; two sons, Jeffrey Walter of Butler, with whom he lived, and Mark and Angela Walter of Butler; three grandsons, Mark and Tony Walter of Butler and Garrett Clark of Rector, Pa; his first great-grandson on the way, Mark; a sister, Rosemary Baginski of Pittsburgh; a brother, Richard Walter of Pittsburgh; and two nieces, Karen and Susan Baginski, both of Pittsburgh.

<B>WALTER</B> — Friends of Leonard J. Walter, who died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
