Russell E. Kalkowski, 59, of Middlesex Township died Friday afternoon at his home.

Born in Pittsburgh, Aug. 27, 1950, he was the son of Beatrice McGlouthlin Kalkowski Paga and the stepson of Steve A. Paga of Richland Township, formerly of Valencia, and the late Edward B. Kalkowski.

He was a laborer and had served in the U.S. Air Force during peacetime.

In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by four brothers, Bernard Paga (Carol) of Shreveport, La., Raymond Paga (Karen) of Beaver County, Joseph Paga (Lynn) of Valencia and Steve Paga (Sherry) of Meadville. Also many nieces and nephews survive.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Decker Kalkowski, who died Oct. 6, 2003, and by a sister, Donna Rae Jordon.
