Rape

Kenneth A. Rape, 64, of Oriole Drive, Columbus, Ind., died at 5:08 p.m. Saturday at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Born Aug. 30, 1945, in Ellwood City, he was the son of Anna K. Rape of Zelienople and the late K. Burnett Rape.

Kenneth graduated from U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Port, N.Y. He retired as a lieutenant from the U.S. Navy.

Kenneth was an avid Colts and Indiana University basketball fan, and he enjoyed NASCAR and the Indianapolis 500. He also was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crosswords. He loved traveling with his wife and family and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. To Kenneth, his family was the most important thing in his life.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Ruthanne Doidge Rape, who he married May 13, 1967; three sons, Marc (Beth) Rape of Columbus, Ind., Brett (Elise) Rape of Indianapolis, Ind., and Bruce Rape of Columbus, Ind.; five grandchildren, Jake, Alex, Tessa, Olivia and Isabella; and two sisters, Darlene (Dave) Wogan of East Brady and Sharyn (Tim) McMaster of Zelienople.

<B>RAPE</B> — A celebration of the life of Kenneth A. Rape, who died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Simmon's Winery. All friends are encouraged to attend.
