William F. Fischer
William F. Fischer, 83, of Cranberry Township died Thursday at his home.
Born Jan. 29, 1926, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late William F. and Eleanore Kelly Fischer.
Mr. Fischer retired from Highway Equipment Inc. in Cranberry Township.
He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the submarine service.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, and he was an AARP member. Mr. Fischer was a member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, Cranberry Township
He is survived by his wife, Edith (Elder) Fischer, who he married Aug. 29, 1947; a son, James W. Fischer of Cranberry Township; a daughter, Linda H. Sceurman and her husband, David, of Perryville, Md.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Fischer, and a sister, Eleanora Solomon.
