Monster Bash scares up stars films, vendors

Stars from classic television shows and others will be appearing at the Monster Bash Expo & Film Festival from Friday through Sunday at the Butler Days Inn, Route 8.

This three-day film festival and autograph signing show includes classic TV, horror movie, science fiction movie and mystery movie collectible vendors.

Stars from TV shows who will be signing autographs will include: Pat Priest (Marilyn Munster), Lisa Loring (Wednesday on the "Addams Family" & "As The World Turns" actress), Donna Douglas (Elly Mae from "The Beverly Hillbillies"), Susan Gordon ("The Twilight Zone"), and Jackie Joseph ("The Doris Day Show" and "The Andy Griffith Show"). Plus, local star "Chilly Billy" Cardille of Chiller Theatre and "Night of the Living Dead" will be at Monster Bash on Saturday.

Classic horror and science fiction films as well as many Vincent Price films, will be showing all weekend in one of the ballrooms. The show is dedicated to the memory of actor Vincent Price.

Special features include an appearance all weekend of the giant "puppet-prop" plant from the Broadway show of "The Little Shop of Horrors," with Jim Hensen Studios puppeteer Bill Diamond.

The events run from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Autographs and vendor hours are 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.Admission is $15 per day at the door. Children age 12 and younger are admitted free with a paying adult. Bill Diamond of Jim Henson Studios is bringing the giant plant puppet from "Little Shop of Horrors" to the Monster Bash this weekend at the Butler Days Inn.
