David H. Phillips, 66, of Las Vegas, formerly of Butler and Chicora, died Jan. 31.

Born Oct. 26, 1943, in Butler, he was the son of Helen McDowell Phillips and the late Harvey H. Phillips.

David, a graduate of Slippery Rock State University, proudly served our country as a member of the United States Air Force and was employed as an environmental scientist by Nevada Power and Light.

David was preceded in death by his father and his brothers, John and James.

He is survived by his mother, a life-long resident of Butler County; his wife, Darlene; a son, Kellen; a daughter-in-law Melanie; and a granddaughter, Ellie.
