Nancy Jean Wingard
Nancy Jean Wingard died Sunday at Heartland Regional Hospital in Marion, Ill.
Born July 3, 1937, in Western Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of John and Julia Wingard.
She moved to Benton, lll., in 1953. She graduated from Benton High School and attended business school in Indiana. She worked for the city of Benton, then the state of Illinois, retiring after 30 years with the Department of Professional Registration. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Benton and a member of The Marion Eagles.
Nancy was a licensed EMT, working for the Benton Ambulance Service and Sanders and Rohr Ambulance Service and The Franklin Hospital. She enjoyed roller skating and boating. She will be sadly missed by family, friends and her care giver.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Wingard, and a sister, Peggy Wingard/Mohr.
She is survived by two nephews and four nieces and several great- and great-great nephews and nieces.
