4 accused of passing phony bills

TARENTUM — Police have arrested three adults and a juvenile from New York with possessing counterfeit $100 bills after they allegedly passed some of the bills at an area mall.

The four, all from the Bronx, were arrested by Frazer Township police after security at the Pittsburgh Mills mall determined they had passed the bills at 20 stores. At each store, the suspects bought something for a few dollars so they would receive real money as change.

Police identified them as Raul Aguero, 27, Steven Orr Jr., 25, Juan Quinones, 18, and a female, 17.

They’re all charged with theft and several counts of forgery. The adults are also charged with corruption of minors.
