Paterno weighs in again on PSU-Pitt

STATE COLLEGE — Nothing gets Western Pennsylvania college football fans talking like the old Penn State-Pitt rivalry.

The two schools separated by about a three-hour drive haven't met since 2000.

When the rivalry question came up Tuesday, Penn State coach Joe Paterno said any decision would be up to athletic director Tim Curley.

Paterno has previously said one of his concerns is making sure PSU plays seven home games.

"I have no problem playing Pitt," Paterno said at his Tuesday news conference. "But I think if they could get a home-and-home with Pitt, still get seven home games ... I think it would probably be good."
